I saw this first-hand as we grew Quartzy to hundreds of thousands of customers while Sam Bobb built Octopart and goVolition to deliver a better search experience for electronic components and mechanical parts.

Solving these problems required enormous investment and manual work - building robust taxonomy, gathering and structuring data, and delivering that data in a way that is relevant and timely.

Sam and I are setting out to change this by launching Kaavio, an AI-first product data layer to make the B2B e-commerce experience more robust, accurate, and complete. All without the manual process of importing and scrubbing various data sources that exists today.
